Revenue Analyst

The Revenue Analyst position focuses on room revenue production reporting from all systems. Utilize reporting to track and analyze revenue over time to determine market trends and opportunities. Track production of all retail, promotional and discounted rates. Compares rates and policies to competition in the market and offers suggestions to maximize revenue. Job Description: · Utilize reporting systems to create and analyze pace, daily pick up and forecasting · Produce, analyze and distribute daily activity reports · Daily audit of all systems · Laisse with the IT department to develop new automation processes to improve reporting on an ongoing basis · Update and manage forecasting and budget files · Manage rate strategy spreadsheets to include yielding revisions · Communicate all rate, promotional offers, restrictions and policy changes internally and externally · Manage all connectivity platforms · Work in OTA extranets to build offers, manage inventory and update content · Conduct competitive analysis through rate shops · Produce ad hoc reports as needed · Work closely with distribution team to uncover any potential reporting discrepancies as it relates to rates and inventory · Create and maintain rooms and revenue month and year end reporting · Communicates with resorts regarding unauthorized rates, non-deposit bookings and holding of rooms · Audit and manage comp rooms, upgrades and unauthorized overselling of categories · Support Revenue Management Director and perform other tasks as assigned Education and Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field. Experience · 2+ years of experience in revenue management, hotel operations or financial analysis, preferably in within the hospitality industry · Experience with revenue management systems, property management systems and distribution platforms. Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling). • Experience with HBSI and Maestro preferred. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. • Experience with booking and distribution platforms (GDS, OTA extranets). • Solid understanding of rate structures, BAR strategies, segmentation, and demand forecasting. Analytical & Business Skills: • Ability to analyze large sets of data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. • Strong financial acumen and understanding of hotel KPIs (e.g., RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, GOP). Communication & Collaboration: • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to present data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and corporate teams.
