Research Development Consultant
ABGI USA is a national leader in specialized tax advisory and finance talent solutions, partnering with CPAs and businesses to deliver high-impact solutions. They are seeking a Research Tax Credit Associate to support R&D tax credit studies by gathering data and collaborating with engineers and finance professionals. Responsibilities Support project teams in the preparation and delivery of accurate R&D tax credit studies Collect, organize, and analyze client technical and financial documentation Assist in identifying and documenting qualified research activities under IRC §41 Draft technical narratives and supporting documentation for R&D credit claims Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and client stakeholders to understand R&D activities Learn and apply U.S. federal and state R&D tax credit regulations Track time, project activity, and client data accurately in Salesforce CRM Participate in internal training programs to build technical and regulatory expertise Assist with preparation of Form 6765 and supporting schedules Contribute to team meetings, process improvements, and client communications under supervision Through training, progress to handling clients directly within three to four months from hire Skills Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related STEM field Interest in tax incentives, R&D, or consulting, with a strong desire to learn Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule and travel up to 25% as needed Internship or entry-level experience in tax, accounting, consulting, or engineering Familiarity with R&D tax credits or government incentive programs Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems Benefits Full Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Short-Term & Long-Term Disability and Critical Illness coverage Free One Medical membership Free access to the CALM app 401(k) with company match Competitive PTO plan Hybrid work schedule Company Overview ABGi USA is the United States headquarters of ABGi Group, a worldwide firm dedicated to innovation.
