Responsibilities • Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, readable text format. • Edit and proofread transcriptions to ensure high-quality output. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Organize and manage transcriptions according to department needs and deadlines. • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of transcription services. • Use transcription software and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. Skills • No prior transcription experience required, but a strong interest in learning and growing in the field. • Basic understanding of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Strong attention to detail when transcribing. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing tasks efficiently. • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and collaborate remotely with team members when needed. • Familiarity with transcription software (e.g., Otter.ai, Descript) is a bonus but not required.
