[Remote] Test Automation Engineer, Mid

They are seeking a Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure product quality and efficiency across software systems, while contributing to continuous integration and delivery processes. Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks, scripts, and tools for UI, API, and backend systems • Translate manual test cases and requirements into automated test scripts aligned with project goals and test strategy • Execute automated regression, smoke, and integration test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and optimize test coverage • Maintain version control and documentation for all automation assets • Participate in test case design reviews to ensure testability and automation feasibility • Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and report defects through established defect management processes • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) • Monitor and report automation execution results, providing metrics and insights to QA leadership • Support continuous improvement efforts by evaluating and implementing new automation tools and practices • Ensure adherence to automation standards, frameworks, and coding best practices • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated testing into build and deployment pipelines • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules Skills • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or 6 years of additional experience in lieu of degree • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation • Hands-on experience with one or more automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, UFT, Tosca, or Playwright • Strong knowledge of automation frameworks (keyword-driven, data-driven, hybrid, or BDD) • Working knowledge of version control tools such as Git and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Java and Python) • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management • Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Zephyr, or TM4J) • Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to create and execute SQL queries • Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or healthcare systems testing preferred • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, or ReadyAPI) • Familiarity with performance and load testing concepts • Knowledge of AI concepts and their application in software testing, including effective use of GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools within Visual Studio • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams Benefits • Comprehensive health plans • Paid time off • Retirement savings • Corporate wellness • Educational assistance • Corporate discounts Company Overview • Acentra Health is a provider of clinical services and technological solutions to government healthcare organizations.
