[Remote] Software Engineering Intern – Platform, Integrations & Automation

The Software Engineering Intern will support backend platform reliability through integration validation, test automation, and internal tooling, collaborating with various teams to improve system integrations and developer productivity. Responsibilities Assist in analyzing and validating integrations between Knostos, our primary SaaS platform, and third-party systems Support API contract validation, payload consistency checks, and error handling verification Build mock services and test data to simulate real-world pharmacy integration scenarios Document integration flows, assumptions, and known edge cases Design and implement automated tests for APIs, integrations, and backend workflows Convert existing manual test cases into reusable automated test suites Support regression testing and release validation activities Assist with integrating automated tests into CI pipelines Develop small internal tools or scripts to improve validation, testing, or troubleshooting workflows Automate repetitive engineering and QA tasks Support visibility into integration failures and test results through logs and reports Skills Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend systems Strong attention to detail and interest in system reliability Ability to work independently and collaborate with a distributed engineering team Strong written communication skills for documentation and reporting Exposure to automated testing frameworks or scripting Familiarity with cloud platforms or containerized environments Interest in platform engineering, integrations, or automation Experience working with Git-based version control systems Exposure to Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, PyCharm, or similar Curiosity about healthcare or regulated software environments Company Overview Medido Health is a software company that provides solutions for next-generation pharmacy-based care.
