[Remote] Senior/Executive Director Business Development with Out-licensing emphasis

OBI Pharma, Inc. is a global clinical stage oncology company seeking a Senior or Executive Director of Business Development with a focus on out-licensing in the biopharma industry. The role involves managing business development strategies, overseeing licensing activities, and engaging in negotiations to drive portfolio growth within the Americas and Europe. Responsibilities • Engagement in all stages of BD licensing opportunities with a very heavy emphasis (75% of your time) on primarily out-licensing OBI assets). This includes: • Out-licensing partnering outreach and communications follow up • Product slides updates • NDA/CDA • R&D and project team interface • Term sheet negotiations • Licensing contract reviews • Deal analysis benchmarking • Project weekly status reports • Actively participates in negotiations as appropriate in support of the licensing (in and out), or strategic partnering collaborations in the Americas/Europe. • Leads contacts of prospective partner companies to further explore and discuss business development opportunities. • Develop ongoing BD budgets, P&L forecasts, and slide presentations • OBI management and BD OBI Pharma representative at partnering and licensing venues • Multi-disciplinary approach to achieving goals with internal/external customers • Coordinate with CBO to identify corporate portfolio growth drivers • Provides weekly project status reports to direct report • Has ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects • Travel required (25%-35%): domestically and internationally • Other duties as assigned Skills • 5-7 years proven pharmaceuticals successful business development experience in the Americas/European region (including United States/Canada, Latin America, European Union) • Understands and has executed and the full licensing deal process (scientific product screening, due diligence processes, meeting minutes, term sheets, P&L assessments, Sr. Management recommendations, contracts analysis, etc.) • Successful deal terms negotiation and transactional experience • Oncology/cancer therapies: 5 years • Pharma/biopharma out-licensing: 5 years • Has strong BD licensing connections with pharma/biopharma companies (United States and International) • Development of short and mid-term strategic BD planning • Strong analytical skills (business and science)–analysis of a wide variety of scientific data, financial figures, competitive benchmarking, and industry data to make strategic decisions • Strong leadership and planning skills • Works well within a multi-disciplinary environment • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in the English language • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel • Bachelor's • Advanced Science Degree or relevant experience required • Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs): 5 years • MBA Benefits • Stock options • Good benefits including dental insurance • Health insurance (90% coverage) • Flexible schedule • Self-managed PTO • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Company Overview • Vivente Corporate Search is a boutique executive search firm that provides search and recruitment services for the life sciences sector.
