[Remote] Senior Application Architect – AI & ML

This role involves leading the architectural design for innovative client solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards, while mentoring the development team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Responsibilities • Lead the architectural design and development of an Agentic AI Insurtech solution to meet our client business imperatives, ensuring alignment with Aon’s business objectives and technical requirements • Develop and implement a reusable shared services architecture leveraging AI and Automation that scales with the right performance to delight our clients • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and define technical specifications • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices in software design and architecture are developed and followed • Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the architecture and design of the new solution • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into the architecture • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to present architectural plans, progress updates, and technical challenges Skills • 8+ years of architecture experience, preferably in a global organization, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML, Automation, data platforms, infrastructure, or related fields • Proven experience as a Senior Architect or similar role, with a focus on building client solutions and shared services architecture • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools, like Azure DevOps or Jira • Experience building and managing high-performing teams • Location Flexibility: Based virtually in US, with occasional travel to global offices as required • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Benefits • 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions • Employee stock purchase plan • Consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion • Medical, dental and vision insurance • Various types of leaves of absence • Paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year • 15 days of paid vacation per year • Paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws • Short-term disability and optional long-term disability • Health savings account • Health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts • Employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance • Optional personal insurance policies • Adoption assistance • Tuition assistance • Commuter benefits • Employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions Company Overview • Aon is a global provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human resources solutions, and outsourcing services.
