[Remote] Security Analyst (Remote-USA)

They are seeking a motivated Security Analyst to join their cybersecurity team, focusing on incident response, threat hunting, and security operations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) Investigate and respond to alerts from XDR tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) Conduct proactive threat hunting across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments Analyze DLP, Web Filtering and Audit log (e.g., Forcepoint, Cisco Umbrella) Participate in an on-call rotation for incident response and escalation support Assist in internal audits and compliance assessments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) Document findings, create incident reports, and contribute to post-mortem reviews Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and security engineering teams to improve detection and response capabilities Skills 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a SOC, IR, or audit role Hands-on experience with SIEM and XDR platforms Familiarity with threat detection methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field Certifications such as Security+, GCIH, CISA, or CySA+ Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) or automation tools Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and cloud security principles Company Overview Numerix is a capital markets front-to-risk technology provider.
