[Remote] Salesforce Developer - Business Systems

They are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join their Business Systems team, where the primary responsibilities include designing and maintaining critical systems that support business operations and collaborating with various teams to deliver automation solutions. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch processes, and Lightning Web Components following Salesforce best practices and bulkification patterns • Architect and implement solutions that address Salesforce governor limits, including Flow optimization, SOQL query efficiency, and technical debt remediation • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems including Gong, Marketo, BigQuery, and other applications using REST and SOAP APIs • Develop and enhance our internal applications using Vue.js, Node.js, and Temporal workflows • Design and optimize data models including custom objects, fields, relationships, and schema architecture • Build complex SOQL queries, ETL processes, and analytics solutions for reporting and data analysis • Participate in release management cycles, deploying code and configuration changes to production • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and proactively identify optimization opportunities • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct technical discovery sessions, and translate business needs into technical solutions • Document technical solutions, integration patterns, and maintain system architecture documentation • Contribute to Salesforce governance processes including change management and security reviews Skills • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components (LWC/Aura) • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture including governor limits, order of execution, sharing model, and security best practices • Proven experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Metadata) and integration patterns • Proficiency in JavaScript for both frontend and backend development • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows • Solid understanding of data modeling including normalization, relationships, and schema design • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage • Experience with SOQL/SOSL and database query optimization • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex technical issues • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of projects from conception to delivery • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities • Experience with Temporal workflows or similar orchestration platforms (Airflow, Prefect, Camunda) • Knowledge of iPaaS platforms (Workato, Zapier, Mulesoft) or building custom integration solutions • Familiarity with Node.js and Vue.js for full-stack development • Experience with GCP/AWS • Knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot) • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments (GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset) • Understanding of Salesforce CPQ, Billing, or Revenue Cloud • Experience with event-driven architectures and webhook implementations • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I, Platform App Builder) Benefits • Unlimited PTO, 12 Holidays + 2 Floating Holidays • 100% Premiums Coverage for Medical, Dental, and Vision • AD&D, LT & ST Disability, and Life Insurance (Standard & Supplemental Available) • Empower 401K Plan • Additional Perks for Learning & Development, Lifestyle Spending, In-Home Office Setup, Professional Memberships, WFH Meals, Internet Stipend and more! • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Benefits outside the United States vary by country, and are issued in partnership with Remote.com. • Additionally, Temporal offers perks to all international employees for learning & career development, a lifestyle spending account, in-home office setup (in addition to company-issued hardware), professional memberships, work-from-home meals, and access to the Calm app for mental wellness. • $3,600 / Year Work from Home Meals • $1,500 / Year Career Development & Learning • $1,200 / Year Lifestyle Spending Account • $1,000 / Year In-Home Office Setup (In addition to Temporal issued equipment - laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, trackpad, and extension power cable at no cost to you) • $500 / Year Professional Memberships • $74 / Month Reimbursement for Internet • Calm App Subscription for Mental Health & Wellness Company Overview • Temporal Technologies provides an open-source platform that simplifies the development of scalable and resilient applications.
