ACLED is a company focused on corporate licensing and data solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Development Representative to generate and qualify new business opportunities. The role involves outbound prospecting, client engagement, and pipeline development to support corporate licensing revenue growth. Responsibilities Identify, research, and prioritize target corporate accounts across agreed sectors, geographies, and use cases Execute structured outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other appropriate channels Manage and respond to inbound corporate licensing inquiries in a timely and professional manner Build a strong understanding of ACLED’s data, products, and commercial use cases to effectively engage prospects Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity and interactions in the CRM systems Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, use cases, and decision-making processes Qualify opportunities against agreed internal criteria and assess commercial potential Clearly and confidently communicate ACLED’s value proposition and differentiate it from alternative data providers Book qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to the Head of Corporate Licensing or other senior sales team members Support early-stage deal progression through follow-ups and coordination where appropriate Meet or exceed clearly defined KPIs related to outreach activity, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution Manage time and priorities effectively in a remote working environment Track performance and conversion metrics to support continuous improvement Take ownership of individual targets and contribute to overall corporate licensing revenue goals Work closely with the Head of Corporate Licensing to align prospecting efforts with broader sales strategy and priorities Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to leverage campaigns, content, and events for lead generation Coordinate with Analysis and Data teams to ensure accurate and responsible positioning of ACLED’s data Provide feedback on market trends, prospect objections, and competitive dynamics Skills 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or a similar commercial role (B2B preferred) Highly motivated and growth oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders Comfortable working to targets and being measured against clear performance KPIs Organized, proactive, and well suited to work effectively in a remote setting Interest in global affairs, political risk, security, ESG, or data-driven decision-making is an advantage Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools is desirable Benefits Fully Remote Environment Working hours depending on your time zone We offer full-time permanent employment agreements, following your specific country’s rules and regulations Personal time-off included Public Holidays included We offer additional benefits such as communication, ergonomic and physical wellness stipends We offer other benefits depending on your country’s requirements Company Overview Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) is a disaggregated data collection, analysis, and crisis mapping project.
