[Remote] Postdoctoral Fellow- Suicide CPR Initiative

Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Suicide CPR Initiative. This role involves initiating and conducting research projects in collaboration with a team, focusing on military suicide prevention and intervention. Responsibilities Independently manages multiple work streams and collaborates with team members in designing, developing, executing, and implementing scientific research; supports program development and evaluation; participates in and occasionally leads regular meetings with other lab staff, graduate students, and collaborators Develops and authors scientific manuscripts and conference presentations Contributes to the development of research proposals, grant applications, Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, and scientific reports for research sponsors Performs research tasks, including participant recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up; maintains detailed logs and documentation of participant communication and study progress tracking; travels to various sites, as needed, to assist with research implementation, data collection, and/or to meet with study collaborators Participates in educational opportunities to advance knowledge in military mental health and suicide prevention; may provide instruction and training to other lab staff Supervises and provides mentorship to junior staff May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role Knowledge of appropriate scientific area; ability to analyze and interpret data Skills Doctoral degree in Psychology (Experimental, Clinical, Counseling, or Social), Public Health, or a related field preferred Minimum of 0-5 years' experience required Knowledge of appropriate scientific area; ability to analyze and interpret data Applicants must have evidence of a strong research background as reflected by work experience and/or scholarly publications and presentations Knowledge and experience of military mental health, military family mental health, and/or suicidology highly desired Knowledge and experience of quantitative coding is preferred Knowledge and experience of records review is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent critical thinking skills, and an ability to troubleshoot day-to-day challenges Demonstrated ability to work independently and within teams Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust Clearance Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods Knowledge and experience of quantitative coding is preferred Knowledge and experience of records review is preferred Benefits HJF offers a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on your health and well-being, from medical, dental, and vision coverage to health savings and retirement plans, and more.
