[Remote] Part-time Literacy Strategy Consultant and Instructor
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. In this role, you will provide direct support on high-quality literacy instructional practices in grades K-12 and manage implementation and influence strategy for client projects while building client capacity and cultivating relationships. Responsibilities • Manage implementation and influence strategy for client projects, including but not limited to: • Contributing to team/project goals, engaging in innovation in alignment with goals • Managing workstream/s including executing on a theory of action and strategy to reach impact and adjusting when off-track • Tracking progress towards contract goals and making strategic decisions regarding project management and support • Contributing to the creation of high-quality, data-driven reports or other deliverables demonstrating the effect of the team’s approaches towards contract goals • Build client capacity and cultivate client relationships, including but not limited to: • Developing tools and resources in real time to respond to client needs • Developing and cultivating client relationships that foster trust through authentic engagement and ensuring client satisfaction with our work • Facilitating and/or directly coaching district and school leaders to build capacity in areas aligned to priorities to support the sustainability of our work • Designing sessions and facilitating professional learning for district leaders, school leaders, teachers, and other stakeholders Skills • Experience working with leaders at school districts or CMOs and supporting complex organizational change efforts, including the ability to implement a clear vision and purposeful strategy to achieve ambitious goals • Knowledge of content and instruction, with at least three years Pre-K-12 teaching experience, preferably in high-need schools or with high-need populations, and a proven track record of raising student achievement • Experience with the Science of Reading and a proven track record of success teaching or leading with high-quality instructional materials • Previous experience developing and facilitating adult learning/training • Excellent project management skills and an ability to work efficiently and independently, and to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Knowledge of content and instruction, with at least three years Pre-K-12 teaching experience, preferably in high-need schools or with high-need populations, and a proven track record of raising student achievement • Experience with the Science of Reading and a proven track record of success teaching or leading with high-quality instructional materials • Know great teaching and learning when you see it • Bilingual abilities are a plus; Spanish language preferred Benefits • A motivated team of dynamic colleagues • A collegial atmosphere that values professional development and valuable feedback • The chance to impact the direction of a growing, mission-driven company that is committed to the success of our nation’s children • An inclusive environment where staff are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work each day Company Overview • A national nonprofit founded by teachers, TNTP helps school systems end educational inequality and achieve their goals for students.
