This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to our Director of Consulting Services.Key Experience NeededParticipate in patient assessments by overseeing assessment process, setting schedules, and assuring accuracy.Determine accurate expenses associated with a potential admission.Review all applications for admission and communicate results of the assessment. Complete and assure the accuracy of the MDS process for all residents.Maintain current working knowledge of criteria, serving as a resource for staff and communicating changes in regulations.Look for potential risks and/or changes that may affect reimbursement.Facilitate problem-solving for complicated admissions.Start Medicare process and monitor assessment schedules and nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and timely submission.Maintain client confidentiality and function within HIPAA regulations.All other assignments and projects as directed by leadership.QualificationsExperience in MDS coordinator role or related experience.Current and valid Compact nursing license.Valid and current RAC-CT. Experience in a clinical and healthcare setting. Deep medical terminology knowledge.Superb decision-making and problem-solving skills. Superior attention to detail.Integrity to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive data.Adaptable to change and willingness to learn different processes.Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times. Apply tot his job
