[Remote] Internal Business Development Associate

FPA is seeking an Internal Business Development Associate to join their Business Development team, providing proactive sales and service support to advisory channel prospects and clients. The role involves coordinating resources, improving data management in the CRM system, and conducting market research to meet business needs while promoting FPA’s products and services. Responsibilities Support and communicate with the external advisory channel focused BD team along with prospects, clients and analysts using or considering FPA strategies and products: Regular, frequent, and effective communication with the external BD team Ensure timely and comprehensive email, call, and meeting follow up is completed and recorded. Assist in maintaining ongoing relationships with prospects and clients Convey sales ideas, disseminate product information, and answer high level strategy and product questions to prospects and clients Listen, probe, uncover, and analyze client and prospect needs and recognize potential sales/service opportunities When necessary, help drive the closing process with prospects Field client related questions and direct complex requests to the appropriate product RMs and product specialists at FPA Assist in the setup and management of calls, meetings, and trips for key BD team members If the BD team is unavailable, take ownership and resolve problems by gathering, analyzing, pursuing an appropriate course of action, and following up when necessary. Perform end-to-end service Ensure all prospect and client communication is accurately recorded in the FPA CRM system On an ongoing basis complete, update and, when necessary, modify prospect and client data in the CRM system Run reports from the CRM system to review and plan client service and BD activities Assist the external BD team in building and continually updating a prospect pipeline, including completing research to establish a high value pipeline Suggest changes and improvements to data fields and information captured for prospects and clients in the CRM system Work with the FPA data specialist team to develop, build, and maintain an internal business development database and reporting tools to track prospects, opportunities, and clients Reach out and communicate with tier 1 and tier 2 prospects in difficult to reach geographies. Conduct proactive sales emails and calls to prospect advisors, teams, and firms in the advisory channel Handle inbound calls for all levels of sales (acquisition and development) Cover and own the results for all Tier 5 clients including retention bonus compensation and BD sales compensation Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects that are not being reached by the external BD team Assist in arranging and possibly attending appropriate advisor conferences.
