[Remote] Hospice Invoicing Specialist

The Hospice Invoicing Specialist will prepare and process insurance claims, ensuring accuracy through communication with agencies and external partners while managing accounts receivable activities. Responsibilities Prepare and process various insurance claims, including electronic submissions for multiple payers Verify claim data daily through communication with agencies and external personnel Research and correct error claims to ensure clean claim production and submission Review accounts receivable daily and follow up on delinquent accounts per established procedures Recommend corrective actions based on account review findings Investigate and respond to inquiries from payors and agencies regarding accounts receivable activity Maintain and update accounts receivable schedules to track issues and resolutions for reporting Resolve customer requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly and respectfully Skills 1+ years of medical billing and collections experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Solid organizational, analytical, and math skills Basic proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel Home Health billing and collections experience Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase 401k contribution Company Overview Optum is a healthcare company that provides pharmacy services, health care operations, and population health management.
