As a Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, you will support the development and optimization of underwriting tools and processes, focusing on enhancing data analysis and improving operational efficiency. Responsibilities Support and enhance underwriting tools Maintain and update documentation to ensure compliance with business requirements Analyze data using Excel, Power BI, VBA, PL/SQL, and Power automate Coordinate business requests and follow through to resolution Collaborate with IT, Finance, Actuarial, and other internal teams to align underwriting practices with business goals Skills Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field 1-3 years in group underwriting, insurance, or data analysis (internships or relevant academic experience are considered) Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn advanced tools like Power BI Bilingualism (French and English) is required to meet business needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities and great attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently to meet deadlines Strong analytical thinking and solid technical skills Motivation, determination, team spirit, and autonomy The Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation would be an asset Experienced candidates will be considered for a senior role Benefits Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits Opportunities for personal and professional growth Flexible work options Meaningful experiences Supportive leadership Company Overview Medavie is a health solutions organization that deals with health care, health diagnosis and services in Canada.
