[Remote] Fund Modeling Analyst - Asset Management

S+H Search is seeking a Contract Fund Modeling Resource for a short-term position focused on enhancing and optimizing complex Excel-based fund models for a loan fund platform. The role involves designing advanced models, supporting audits, and improving performance metrics to deliver investor-ready outputs. Responsibilities • Design and Optimize advanced Excel-based models supporting loan and fund-level analysis • Support fund model audit and requirements alignment, including tracing logic, validating calculations, and identifying gaps • Enhance fund-level performance modeling, including: Cash flow projections, NAV and liquidity analysis, Portfolio KPIs • Build and refine investor-ready reporting outputs, including schedules of investments • Build waterfall calculations and capital structure modeling across debt, and equity components • Implement validation checks and reconciliation logic tied to accounting and loan servicing data • Improve model structure, speed, navigation, and automation where feasible • Support scenario and sensitivity analysis for key assumptions • Collaborate with stakeholders to document assumptions and model logic Skills • Advanced Excel financial modeling expertise with large, complex models • Direct fund analysis and fund modeling experience • Experience modeling loan-based funds and associated cash flows • Strong understanding of capital structures including debt, equity, and grants • Ability to audit and improve legacy financial models • Ability to communicate complex model logic clearly • Experience with loan servicing data and reconciliations • Exposure to fund management or portfolio management software • Experience with multi-investor or structured fund reporting • Focus on auditability, validation, and long-term maintainability • Exposure to automation concepts and structured data ingestion Company Overview • S+H offers Executive Search and Staffing services specializing in accounting and finance.
