POSITION TITLE: Online MSN Faculty – Nursing Administration & Nursing Education Tracks POSITION TYPE: Part-Time/Adjunct LOCATION: Remote / Online Instruction SCHOOL: School of Nursing Position Overview The School of Nursing is seeking dynamic, student-centered graduate nursing faculty to teach in the online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. Faculty are needed for both the Nursing Administration and Nursing Education specialization tracks. The ideal candidates will be committed to academic excellence, innovation in online teaching, and supporting the professional growth of registered nurses pursuing advanced roles in leadership and education. This position reports to the Dean of Nursing and works collaboratively with graduate faculty to support program outcomes, accreditation standards, and a culture of excellence. Key Responsibilities • Teach graduate-level courses within the MSN Nursing Administration or Nursing Education track. • Facilitate engaging, high-quality online learning experiences using the institution’s learning management system. • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student success and progression. • Participate in curriculum review, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement processes. • Maintain academic and professional expertise in assigned teaching content areas. • Support MSN students through virtual office hours, advisement, and mentorship as assigned. • Collaborate with the Dean of Nursing and faculty team to meet program, accreditation, and assessment requirements. • Uphold academic integrity, professionalism, and a student-centered approach to graduate education. Required Qualifications • Terminal degree in nursing (i.e., PhD, DNP, or EdD) from an accredited institution. • Current, unencumbered RN license. • Previous online teaching experience at the graduate level. • Minimum of two years of recent professional nursing experience. • Experience in one or more advanced roles: • Nursing leadership/administration (for Nursing Administration track) • Academic/clinical education (for Nursing Education track) • Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate effectively in an online environment. • Familiarity with graduate-level curriculum and evaluation. Preferred Qualifications (Recommended, Not Required) • National certification: • Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) for Nursing Education track • Nursing Administration certification (CNML, NE-BC, NEA-BC) for Nursing Administration track • Prior experience developing or revising graduate nursing courses. Skills & Competencies • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in online teaching technologies and learning management systems. • Ability to mentor and support adult learners and working professionals. • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity in graduate nursing education. • Professionalism, critical thinking, and collaboration.
