They are seeking an Early Career Trial Attorney to manage PIP/No Fault litigation, provide counsel to business clients, and stay updated on laws and regulations. This role involves a mix of courtroom responsibilities and legal strategy in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of PIP/no-fault litigation from case inception through resolution including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records Attend Arbitration hearings court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work Defend the company against medical bill claims Skills Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New Jersey state bar Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines Capable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery process Skilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and maintaining records of interactions Well-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conduct Equipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussions Must reside within a commutable distance and be able to travel throughout New Jersey, as needed, for trials, court appearances, virtual hearings, and other related proceedings Benefits Exceptional Work-Life Balance: At Allstate, we understand the importance of achieving harmony between work and personal life.
