[Remote] Director, Human Resources, Managed Hotels

Choice Hotels International is one of the largest lodging franchisors in the world, and they are seeking a Human Resources Director for their Managed Hotels portfolio. This role is essential for shaping the associate experience and driving business success through strategic HR initiatives and leadership. Responsibilities • Lead all HR functions for the Managed Hotels portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and brand standards. • Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic HR advice and solutions for business challenges, including talent strategies, compensation, and organizational design. • Mentor and develop HR Managers and HR Business Partners; set goals and foster a culture of learning and inclusion. • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a safe, engaging, and high-performing workplace. • Oversee escalated employee relations cases, investigations, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. • Act as a change agent for new initiatives, driving adoption through communication and readiness planning. • Lead workforce planning, succession strategies, and talent development to ensure future readiness. • Utilize HR data and market insights to inform decisions and measure impact. • Oversee performance management processes and coach leaders to build strong, engaged teams. • Serve as a key member of the Managed Hotels leadership team and contribute to enterprise-wide HR priorities. Skills • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role supporting multi-site operations. • Proven ability to influence business strategy through HR solutions and lead high-performing teams. • Proficiency in HR technologies, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals. • High emotional intelligence, exceptional communication, and problem-solving skills. • Skilled in change management and driving results in complex, matrixed environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. • Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
