About the Role As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our Review Team, providing exceptional customer service support to beneficiaries and providers via the helpline. You'll be responsible for creating, formatting, and proofreading letters, as well as maintaining timeliness and making decisions regarding complex appeals. Key Responsibilities Provide customer service support to beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Create, format, and proofread letters, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain timeliness and prioritize assignments to meet productivity and quality standards. Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Participate in identifying areas for potential improvement, contributing to the growth and development of our Review Team. Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes, driving continuous improvement. Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, determining the best course of action to assist callers and referring them to external agencies as needed. Validate notices and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Provide intake for all appeals received by Arsenault, processing and managing appeals in a timely and efficient manner. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent. Post-high school business courses or relevant training. Medical terminology knowledge or willingness to learn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-oriented and patient demeanor. The ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations and prioritize assignments effectively. Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, and written communications skills. A customer-focused and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. General knowledge of PC-based computer systems and software packages, with the ability to learn new systems as needed. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: 2-3 years of clerical experience, including word processing, filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities. Prior work experience in a healthcare setting or medical terminology knowledge. Previous data entry or other clerical experience.
