The role involves writing original biology problems for AI models, evaluating AI-generated solutions, and collaborating with researchers to enhance model training outcomes. Responsibilities • Write original, advanced Olympiad-style biology problems designed to challenge frontier AI models • Create problems that expose logical gaps or failure modes in AI-generated responses • Evaluate AI-generated biology solutions for correctness, clarity, and scientific rigor • Identify logical flaws, incomplete reasoning, or insufficient biological justification • Produce clear, concise, and fully correct reference solutions using proper LaTeX formatting • Maintain very high standards of precision, difficulty, and conceptual depth • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to improve model training outcomes Skills • Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related life sciences field • OR prior participation or medalist experience in International Biology Olympiad (IBO) or equivalent competitions (e.g., IBO TST, USABO, EUBO, CBO, RBO, BBO, INBO, JBO, NSBO, etc.) • Deep understanding of core theoretical and experimental biology concepts • Strong ability to write and format technical content using LaTeX • Ability to articulate biological reasoning clearly and rigorously in written form • Strong analytical skills to evaluate problem difficulty and solution correctness • Extremely high attention to detail when verifying biological logic and conclusions • Comfortable working independently in a remote, research-driven environment Company Overview • At Crossing Hurdles, we specialise in customised recruitment and staffing solutions designed to drive success for businesses and professionals.
