[Remote] Audit & Assurance Manager / Senior Manager (Remote: Open to residents of FL, GA, NC, SC & TX)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Swindell, Bohn, Durden & Phillips is a recognized midsize firm providing client services in tax, small business accounting, and audit. They are seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager / Senior Manager to oversee audit engagements, cultivate client relationships, and lead the professional development of audit team members. Responsibilities • Develop an understanding of the client’s business • Coordinate, organize, and schedule engagements to ensure all deadlines are met • Prepare audit strategies and assess audit risks • Manage multiple audit or review engagements • Review financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with reporting requirements • Review engagement work papers • Research accounting issues and provide solutions • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Partner • Properly plan and manage engagements to ensure completion • Become an expert within assigned niches • Assist in special projects • Assist with peer review planning and compliance • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients • Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates • Lead department in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows • Minimal travel requirements Skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting • 7 - 10+ years of audit experience in public accounting • Strong technical, analytical, and risk assessment skills • Proven leadership and team management abilities • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software • High ethical standards and professionalism • Master's degree • Active CPA license or CPA eligible Benefits • Generally work 36 hours per week outside of busy season • Office is closed on Fridays (May through December) • Firm-Paid insurance premiums for Medical, Dental and Life Insurance (employee coverage) • Firm Contribution to Health Savings Account • Flexible Spending Accounts • 401K Retirement Plan w/Firm Contribution • Paid Time Off • 12 paid Holidays • Firm-paid Community Service hours • Firm-paid CPE Credits Company Overview • Dedicated to Serving Our Clients & Our Community The SBDP team is dedicated to providing clients with timely, cost-effective and proactive tax, accounting and business consulting services.
