[Remote] Applied AI Intern

They are seeking an Applied AI Intern to explore the intersection of real-time data streaming and artificial intelligence, focusing on building prototypes and demonstrations that apply the latest advances in machine learning and generative AI. Responsibilities Research and review recent advancements in machine learning and AI, with a focus on time series analysis, anomaly detection, and generative AI Design and build exploratory prototypes that demonstrate how these methods can add value to real-time, high-velocity data environments Package prototypes into polished, demo-ready applications for both technical and non-technical audiences Document findings and share results across the organization to inform product direction and market positioning Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prototypes align with Striim’s domain and customer use cases Skills Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (exceptional undergraduates will also be considered) Strong foundation in machine learning, time series analysis, and generative AI Hands-on experience with Python and widely used ML/AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, LangChain, sktime) Curiosity, creativity, and an experimental mindset—able to translate ideas into functional prototypes quickly Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Familiarity with streaming data and real-time systems is a plus Company Overview Striim is the only supplier of unified, real-time data streaming and integration for enterprise analytics and operations.
