[Remote] Analytics Engineer III, Inspections

The Analytics Engineer III will focus on designing and executing analyses for business needs in the Inspections and Prescreen domains, developing data models, building reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Responsibilities • Develop and analyze large data models • Build reports and dashboards to give stakeholders visibility into relevant metrics • Act with minimal supervision to present analysis of a business area to stakeholders and support follow on questions, converting business questions into technical requirements • Identify root cause for any KPI drift and make recommendations for cure • Improve our user experience through robustly designed AB tests • Present recommendations on initiative priority and influence stakeholders through data and thoughtful interpretation of findings • Independent project ownership. Identify and organize key stakeholders, define scope, timeline, and execution of implementation plan without supervision • Perform additional duties as assigned Skills • BA/BS in Statistics, Operations Research, or similar computationally intensive degree -or- college or university degree in Computer Science or relevant field • 5-10 years of relevant, professional work experience related to position • Experience leading and directing small projects, peer recognition, and excellence in analytics delivery • Understanding of project management skills and the ability to implement those across multiple program • Ability to navigate conflicting technical requirements and work collaboratively across projects towards a win-win solution • Strong Experience with Python (strong emphasis on pandas, numpy, plotting) • Strong Professional Experience with MySQL / BigQuery • Experience with data visualization / dashboarding tools like Tableau • Experience doing complex queries and transformations on large data set • Good scripting and functional programming skills • Expertise in exploratory data analysis and the basics of data-driven reasoning are a must • Dbt experience • MS in Statistics, Operations Research, or similar computationally intensive degree • Experience on AWS or Google Cloud Benefits • Multiple medical plans including a high deductible, low cost health plan • Company-sponsored (paid) Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance • Comprehensive optional benefits such as Dental, Vision, Supplemental Life/AD&D, Legal/ID Protection, and Accident and Critical Illness Insurance • Generous paid time off options, including uncapped vacation days, the greater of 3 paid sick days or in accordance with the applicable state or local paid sick leave law, 6 paid company holidays, 2 floating holidays, parental leave, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, voting leave, and other forms of paid leave as required by applicable law or regulation • Employee Stock Purchase Program with additional opportunities to earn stock in the Company • Retirement planning through the Company’s 401(k) Company Overview • ACV is a high growth technology company that provides a vibrant digital marketplace for wholesale vehicle transactions and data services.
