About the position Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients at all levels of their organization, assisting in the marketing, negotiation, placing, and servicing of client accounts • Craft persuasive pitch documents and compelling presentations for both new and existing clients • Analyze data in partnership with our actuarial, catastrophe modeling, and financial advisory teams, providing valuable insights • Contribute to the structuring, placing, and servicing of reinsurance transactions • Play a crucial role in working with contracts and supporting the finalization of reinsurance placements • Participate in web-based and in-person seminars to expand your industry knowledge • Work towards attaining your P&C (Property & Casualty) license within 12 months of your hire date and your ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) designation within 18 months of your hire date Requirements • Bachelor's degree • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) • Strong technological proficiency enabling you to use various software for efficient task completion • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues • Flexibility to travel to our home office in Rolling Meadows, IL, five (5) different times for training Nice-to-haves • Previous internship or work experience in a related field • Knowledge of or curiosity about the reinsurance broking and risk management industry Benefits • Medical/dental/vision plans, which start from day one • Life and accident insurance • 401(K) and Roth options • Tax-advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA) • Educational expense reimbursement • Paid parental leave • Digital mental health services (Talkspace) • Flexible work hours • Training programs • Gallagher Thrive program - elevating your health through challenges, workshops and digital fitness programs for your overall wellbeing • Charitable matching gift program Apply tot his job
