Job title: Senior Revenue Accountant Company: Red Hat Job description: What you will do Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, Credit, and Global Revenue teams in structuring and reviewing revenue contracts providing sound technical accounting guidance • Provide booking guidance to our order entry team • Read and interpret detailed contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and resolve any revenue issues • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and other control activities • Perform trend analysis • Resolve customer issues • Provide booking guidance to our Order Entry and Credit teams • Participate in testing activities related to the ASC 606 What you will bring Required Experience: • 5+ years of relevant work experience • Recent experience related to the new Revenue Recognition Guidance, ASC 606 • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is a plus • Solid analytical abilities with advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Result-oriented and comfortable working on your own in a high-paced environment • Experience in internal and external stakeholder customer management • Ability to take direction and work on your own to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner • Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC), Oracle, or RevStream is a plus #LI-KK1 #LI-REMOTE Expected salary: Location: Raleigh, NC Apply for the job now!
