They are seeking a Quantitative Trading Analyst to join their Trading Research & Analytics team, focusing on improving trading execution results and developing analytical frameworks. Responsibilities Partnering with investors, traders, broker/dealers, and various internal stakeholders to improve overall execution results through innovation, actionable trading research and enhanced decision-making tools Designing a Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) framework for Investment Implementation & Trading that supports our client reporting, best execution, and execution insights Working with trading technology, external vendors, and the dealer community on producing a high-quality data environment surrounding the life cycle of a trade Understanding equity and/or fixed income market structure trends and how to evolve our electronic trading strategy Skills Personal qualities and values that are consistent with, and would be additive to, Wellington Management's culture Self -motivated individual who exhibits ownership in their work with excellent independent decision-making skills and superior judgement Creative problem-solver who can work effectively under tight deadlines and other pressures Collaborative, team-player Experienced programmer in Python; working knowledge of SQL; familiarity with machine learning, data analysis, and data modeling Proven organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on accuracy, concision, and timeliness Working knowledge of quantitative tools and technologies used for Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), order execution and risk management Experience in trading workflows and familiarity with financial markets; knowledge of electronic trading platforms and trading systems A minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry Strong academic credentials; a Bachelor's degree is required Experience with business intelligence and data visualization software, preferably Tableau would be viewed favorably A graduate degree and/or professional coursework/certifications (or progress toward) would be additive Benefits Discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives Retirement plan Health and wellbeing Dental Vision Pharmacy coverage Health savings account Flexible spending accounts Commuter program Employee assistance program Life and disability insurance Adoption assistance Back-up childcare Tuition/CFA reimbursement Paid time off (leave of absence, paid holidays, volunteer, sick and vacation time) Company Overview Wellington Management focuses on investment management by applying its resources to meet the needs of the institutional clients it serves.
