Public Safety Cyber Technical Director
About the position Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain secure network and cyber architectures for federal government clients • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members • Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies • Present security solutions and recommendations to client stakeholders • Partner with strategic OEMs to design unique solutions for Public Safety clients • Deliver Assessment of Alternatives (AoAs) with specific vendor data to guide clients through product selection Requirements • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance • Minimum 15+ years of experience focused on cybersecurity engineering and providing Federal clients innovative technical solutions • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field • Extensive hands-on technical expertise in network security architecture and implementation of secure cloud (and hybrid) infrastructures • Extensive experience with anomaly detection and analysis of emerging cyber threats/vulnerabilities across various technical stacks, to include: networks, Operating Systems, mobile devices, and Critical Infrastructure Systems • Ability to evaluate commercial cyber products and make recommendations • Working knowledge of Federal Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM); Routes to Market(RTM) & channel programs (Distribution, Value Added Reseller (VARs), Cloud Service Providers, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), etc.) • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Proven track record of developing and implementing security solutions for complex environments • Experience with security frameworks including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP • Demonstrated cyber go to market strategies to accelerate growth across the federal government • Broad personal network and relationships across the Federal ecosystem • Experience with strategic Federal Public Safety programs • Experience with Federal guidance: M-21-23, M-21-07, M-22-09 • Enterprise network security architecture and design • Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platforms • Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAAP) platforms • Extended Detection Response (XDR/EDR) platforms • Operational Technology/Critical infrastructure security • Network access control; Protective DNS • Security information and event management (SIEM) • Cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Zero Trust security principles • Network segmentation and micro-segmentation • Demonstrated support to Federal Public Safety programs • US Citizenship Required • The ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance is required for this role Nice-to-haves • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Apply tot his job
