Property Management Support Specialist
About the Role We’re looking for a Remote Property Management Assistant to help with day-to-day operations for our residential rental portfolio. The focus of this role is tenant payment collection, maintenance coordination, and basic AppFolio work. This is a good fit for someone who is comfortable talking to people, staying organized, and working inside property management software. Key Responsibilities Call tenants for payment collection Make outbound calls to tenants with past-due balances Provide balance information and due dates Document call outcomes and promises-to-pay in AppFolio Follow up based on our scripts and guidelines Coordinate with maintenance team Receive and log maintenance requests in AppFolio Assign work orders to vendors/maintenance team Follow up with tenants and vendors until completion Update notes, status, and invoices in AppFolio Occasionally contact property owners Provide brief updates on key issues (e.g., serious maintenance, ongoing delinquencies) Share simple summaries by email or phone as requested Escalate issues to the owner or manager when needed Utilize AppFolio for property management tasks Update tenant, owner, and property records Record notes from calls and communications Help with simple reports (e.g., delinquencies, vacancies, open work orders) Keep information accurate and up to date Requirements Hands-on experience with AppFolio (required; not just training videos) Comfortable making phone calls to tenants and vendors Clear spoken and written English Previous experience in property management, collections, customer service, or real estate support is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes/checklists Reliable internet and a quiet place to make calls Ability to overlap at least 4 hours per day with US Eastern Time What We Offer Long-term, stable role for the right person Clear processes and scripts for calls and follow-ups Opportunity to grow responsibilities over time as you learn our business Apply tot his job
