About the position Massasoit Community College has received funding from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to expand its HVAC program with a focus on Heat Pump Training. The Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and oversight of the HVAC program, with a strong focus on student success, employer engagement, and compliance with funding requirements. This part-time, remote position plays a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with students, industry partners, and community stakeholders, while ensuring program integrity and alignment with workforce outcomes. Responsibilities • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the HVAC program, including scheduling, communication, and student support. • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance, mentorship, and referrals to ensure program retention and completion. • Develop and sustain partnerships with employers, unions, and industry associations to support student internships, apprenticeships, and job placements. • Track and report program performance metrics, including enrollment, completion, placement, and compliance with grant and funding requirements. • Support recruitment, outreach, and marketing efforts to attract a diverse pool of students and employer partners. • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting in accordance with institutional and funder requirements. • Assist in program evaluation and continuous improvement to ensure quality outcomes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in education, workforce development, business administration, or related field preferred; relevant work experience considered. • Experience in program coordination, student support, or workforce development, ideally in HVAC, trades, or technical training environments. • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills. • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, employers, and community partners. • Familiarity with grant compliance, reporting, and workforce training initiatives preferred. • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining responsiveness and accountability.
