About the position This position resides on the Major Projects team in the Bureau of PeopleSoft & Payment Applications within the Chief Information Office. Direct the development and track progress of all projects, schedules, and events on Major Projects. Work collaboratively with the Program Optimization, Support & Transformation (POST) bureau and the business to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Ensure standards are maintained and knowledge transfer is performed. Manage consulting staff resources including budgeting, recruitment, and performance evaluations. Responsibilities • Direct the development and track progress of all projects, schedules, and events on Major Projects. • Work collaboratively with the Program Optimization, Support & Transformation (POST) bureau and the business to achieve organizational goals and objectives. • Ensure standards are maintained and knowledge transfer is performed. • Manage consulting staff resources including budgeting, recruitment, and performance evaluations. Requirements • At least nine (9) years of general applications development experience • At least five (5) years of PeopleSoft applications development experience • At least two (2) years of supervising Peoplesoft developers in the implementation or maintenance of any of the following PeopleSoft modules: Human Capital Management (HCM) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Financials or PeopleSoft Portal development Nice-to-haves • Demonstrated experience in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Demonstrated experience with recruitment and procurement activities. • Demonstrated experience proactively addressing personnel issues and/or disciplinary actions. • Demonstrated experience in emotional intelligence. • Demonstrated experience in both written and verbal communication of information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Demonstrated organizational management skills performed in a team-oriented workplace. • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching and development skills. • NYSLRS experience would be a significant advantage.
