Product Owner - Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

About the position You will be the product owner for a number of Laboratory Information Management Systems used across our Company. The role offers the chance to work on products that directly impact how lab-based research is conducted and accelerate innovative drugs to market. You must be able to empathize with our scientists' needs and be a passionate advocate for their perspectives through all phases of product development. The role is part of the Experiment Design and Execution (EDE) Product Line within Research and Development Sciences (RaDS) IT. The position will be based in either North America or Prague, travel to other sites will be required at times (estimated no more than 10% of the time). Responsibilities • Ownership of a number of LIMS products across our Company • Ownership of product roadmaps and product backlogs • Work with stakeholders to understand user problems, communicate priorities, and manage expectations. • Work hand-in-hand with the Product Technical Lead to plan sprints and ship solutions. • Work cross-functionally to ensure regulatory compliance • Ensure completeness of system documentation • Manage escalations, risks and dependencies • Help define future strategy for LIMS products Requirements • Bachelor's degree • 2+ years of experience working with laboratory scientists, QC, or manufacturing labs - preferably responsibility for a GMP/GLP Research and Development IT enterprise application • Ability to demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work with varying levels of ambiguity across multiple projects concurrently • Enough technical literacy to communicate effectively with vendor developers and internal IT • Demonstrated success owning a product backlog, writing and prioritizing user stories, managing release cycles, and working within Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments. • Experience engaging stakeholders from both the business (scientists, QA, management) and IT (developers, system architects). • Clear, concise documentation and stakeholder communication—less “PowerPoint polish,” more “alignment and clarity.” Nice-to-haves • M.S. in life sciences, chemistry, bioinformatics, or engineering • Experience configuring or managing LIMS (ideally LabWare) • Demonstrated success leading development and change management initiatives in a GMP/GLP qualified environment. • Strong grasp of sample management, assay workflows, instrument integration, and data integrity principles (ALCOA+). • Demonstrated skill in product strategy to help drive discussion on future direction of LIMS products at our Company Benefits • medical • dental • vision healthcare and other insurance benefits (for employee and family) • retirement benefits, including 401(k) • paid holidays • vacation • compassionate and sick days Apply tot his job
