About the position The Product Manager at Synacor will lead the growth of cloud-based email managed services, focusing on product strategy, service enhancement, and market alignment. This role requires a strategic mindset to develop and execute a vision for the product suite, ensuring it meets evolving market needs and drives revenue growth. Responsibilities • Develop and execute a strategic vision for cloud-based email managed services. • Define and maintain product roadmap in alignment with business goals and market trends. • Identify and address opportunities through market feedback and competitive analysis. • Work with engineering to deliver new features & enhancements on time and within budget. • Prioritize product backlog and work with Agile teams to ensure successful sprints and releases. • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Own the P&L for the product suite & manage revenue, capex, opex & margin targets. • Define pricing & packaging for the product suite and discount delegation processes. • Own mid-term forecasting & market-sizing for the product suite. • Engage with customers/partners to understand needs and translate them into product features. • Analyze market trends, industry shifts, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions. • Serve as the product champion in customer meetings, industry events, and webinars. • Work with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and launch plans. • Collaborate with sales to drive product adoption and revenue growth. • Partner with customer support to ensure excellent service and timely resolution of issues. Requirements • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in cloud-based services or email solutions. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields (MBA preferred). • Proven track record of managing & growing complex managed services offerings. • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and knowledge of cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP). • Familiarity with managed service environments and SLAs. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric mindset. • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice-to-haves • Experience managing P&L targets for small to medium sized product portfolios (>$10M ARR). • Experience in areas like Identity & Access Management, cloud operational metrics. • Hands-on experience optimizing cloud services for cost, reliability & performance. • Experience working with globally distributed engineering and support teams.
