Principal Product Manager, Cloud Ops

About the position We're a growing team, and as we scale, so does our need to focus on expanding our Product Management team. You'll be joining a people-focused company, and as a Principal Product Manager Cloud Ops, you will be working as a lead product manager in the Cloud Operations team. Take the lead in building robust DevOps solutions with a high-performing team, shaping how Vendavo delivers reliable and scalable software to solve complex commercial operations challenges. You will help in design and development of mission critical DevOps capabilities that elevate and show how Vendavo delivers reliable, observable and resilient software. Responsibilities • Collaborate with Product Managers across the portfolio and the Cloud Operations team to understand customer needs as well as internal needs for the portfolio. • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap within the product suite. • Develop deep customer empathy by engaging with FinOps teams, DevOps engineers, and CFO stakeholders to understand their cost optimization pain points. • Collaborate with cloud partners (AWS, Azure, GCP) to stay aligned with evolving pricing models and discount programs. • Develop deep understanding of various platform modules, including business domain knowledge. • Demonstrate the end-to-end scenarios/use-cases for these platform modules. • Build products that automate cloud savings recommendations, track coverage and utilization of discounts, and surface real-time optimization opportunities. • Define and monitor key success metrics to measure product impact and drive data-informed decision making. • Lead one or more scrum teams to deliver on release commitments with high quality and maintaining release metrics. • Work with software engineers and architects to research technologies, design and prototype solutions and productize the solutions for production deployment. • Take ownership of solution development and drive design and development of CloudOps software solutions collaborating with all stakeholders of the release consisting of Product Management, Development, Testing, Documentation, and support team. • Closely collaborate with the teams to ensure operational readiness (deployment automation, infrastructure automation, monitoring, DR etc.) is baked into the release process. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • 7+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Product Management. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in any cloud platform (Preferably AWS, Azure, GCP). Must demonstrate the full understanding of key services used from the cloud platform (e.g., S3, EC2, IAM, EKS, RDS etc.). • Experience & good knowledge of security (SAML, OAuth, OpenIDConnect, JWT etc.), secure coding practices and software security. • Demonstrated use and knowledge of unit testing with JUnit and mock testing frameworks. • Experience in big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka is a big plus. • Demonstrated use and knowledge of various SDLC tools (like GitHub, Jira, Artifactory, Confluence etc.) and Agile processes. • Passionate about helping customers reduce cloud waste and make better infrastructure decisions. • Customer focused with high quality standards for your product. • Ability to engage deeply with technical and financial audiences alike, from platform engineers to CFOs. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present ideas to technical stakeholders and executives alike. • Enjoy partnering with other product development teams to build innovative product solutions that solve customer problems. • Possess an understanding (and interest) in software development and emerging technologies. • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
