PR Specialist / Journalist: Create Data-Driven Narratives from Election Markets

Remote Full-time
We are looking for a sharp political writer or data journalist who can look at prediction market data and spin it into compelling, contrarian news hooks for the media. We don't want "boring" summaries. We want narratives. The Context: We are currently tracking the 2028 US Presidential Election odds. The data is telling specific, often controversial stories that mainstream media is missing (like the "Shadow Presidency" of JD Vance or the "Cabinet Death Watch" for specific appointees). What You Will Do: - Analyze the Odds: Review provided links to major prediction markets - Find the Conflict: Identify where the money disagrees with the mainstream narrative. - Draft the "Story": Write 3-5 punchy, journalist-ready "angles" or short articles (300-500 words) that we (or even better you) can pitch to political editors. These need to be factual but provocative. Example of what we are looking for: Bad: "JD Vance has high odds of winning." Good: "The Shadow President: Markets are currently giving Vance a 54% chance of the nomination, effectively declaring the 2028 primary over before the midterms. Here is why bettors think Trump has already anointed his successor." Requirements: Political Fluency: You deeply understand US politics (Cabinet dynamics, Senate/House intrigue, 2028 hopefuls). Data Literacy: You aren't scared of percentages or probability. You understand what "implied odds" are. PR/Journalism Mindset: You know what a "hook" is. You write for impact, not just to fill space. Deliverables: 3 distinct story angles(Headline + 200-word "Hook" + Data points). One full 600-700-word op-ed style piece based on the strongest angle. Apply tot his job
