Position: Pharmacy Technician, Amazon Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician, Amazon Pharmacy Make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage in their healthcare journey at Amazon Pharmacy. Key job responsibilities • Drive from the pharmacy to remote kiosk locations using a company‑provided vehicle. • Refill kiosks with medication, paper, clean the machines, and collect discarded inventory for return. • Prepare inventory shipments for kiosk replenishment. • Assist pharmacists in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy. • Maintain a safe, clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Work daily with leadership to ensure the right medications are placed in the correct orders. • Run automated machinery required to pre‑sort and package medications. • Fill exception trays with appropriate medication. • Transition Amazon Pharmacy orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control. • Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items. • Pack and ship completed orders, printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispensers and shipping boxes. • Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time. • Aid the pharmacy manager and staff pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing. • Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas within the pharmacy. • Package medications for dispensing and for delivery. • Work a flexible schedule – shifts may start and end outside of normal business hours. Physical Requirements • Shifts up to 12 hours (standard full‑time shifts are 10 hours excluding overtime). • Driving for long periods of time (8+ hours). • Standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching. • Lifting and moving products up to 49 lbs. • Manual dexterity of hands and wrists. Basic Qualifications • Active and unrestricted in‑state Board of Pharmacy license or ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician license within 30 days of start date, if required by state. • Active in‑state driver’s license with a clean driving record that passes Amazon’s Motor Vehicle Checks. • High school diploma or equivalent. • At least 6 months of experience using computer and web‑based tools. • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. • Ability to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labels. Preferred Qualifications • National Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or NHA). • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member. • Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail. • Ability to recognize and identify patient medications. • Experience working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality.
