About the Role As a Part-time Help to Claim Telephone and Webchat Adviser at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support to first-time Universal Credit claimants. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and confident telephone manner will enable you to deliver 'better-off' benefit calculations and practical advice, empowering claimants to navigate the system with confidence and receive their first correct benefit payment. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, handling incoming calls and webchat inquiries via our telephony and dual webchat channels. All advice provided will be recorded on Casebook and quality assured by our local and national quality teams, ensuring the highest standards of support and guidance. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice and guidance to first-time Universal Credit claimants via telephone and webchat, ensuring they receive their first correct benefit payment. Conduct 'better-off' benefit calculations and offer practical advice to support claimants in navigating the welfare benefits system. Utilize our telephony and dual webchat channels to handle incoming inquiries, responding promptly and professionally to claimant needs. Maintain accurate records of advice provided on Casebook, ensuring seamless quality assurance and monitoring. Work independently in a home-based setting, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to delivering high-quality support. Essential Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you'll need: Some knowledge of delivering Citizens Advice Help to Claim or similar welfare benefits advice services (training available for candidates with potential in phone and web-based customer services or welfare rights). Excellent interpersonal and exploratory skills, with a confident telephone manner. Computer literacy and experience working independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work as part of a remote team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills will be highly regarded: Experience in the advice or charity sector, or a related field. Knowledge of welfare benefits and the Universal Credit system. Previous experience working with Casebook or similar case management systems.
