Paralegal/Administrator
Paralegal (Family Law) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal (Family Law experience) to join a top 5 family law firm in Southern California. The role is fully remote until an office location is established, after which it will transition to a hybrid model. Base Pay Range $80,000 - $110,000 per year Responsibilities • Manage calendars and filings for remote attorneys. • Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing family law cases (divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division). • Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements. • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information. • Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document production and interrogatories. • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and accessible. • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. • Schedule appointments, court appearances, and meetings for attorneys. • Prepare trial exhibits and assist attorneys during trial proceedings. • Once office is opened, oversee daily operations, manage supplies, equipment, inventory. • Coordinate office maintenance and liaise with vendors and service providers. • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence. • Greet and assist clients and visitors. • Maintain office records, filing systems. • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff. • Implement and enforce office policies and procedures. • Support management with administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications • Associate’s degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Paralegal certification from an accredited program. • Minimum 3–5 years experience as a family law paralegal and/or office administrator. • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and legal terminology. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
