Job Highlights: Location: Dearborn, MI Company: Amazon Position: Package Delivery Driver Compensation: Competitive salary Start Date: Immediate openings available Job Overview As a Package Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for selecting, packing, and shipping orders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work in a variety of areas, including merch, make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. Your duties may include: Receiving and putting away inventory Getting customer orders ready and packing them up Loading boxes into trucks for shipment Using scanners to read bar codes on products Viewing prompts on screens and following directions for some tasks Troubleshooting problems Ensuring product meets quality requirements Operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as a forklift or pallet driver, and working at heights up to 40 feet (equipment training and certification provided) Key Responsibilities: Physical Demands: Lifting up to 49 pounds Pushing utility carts up to 60 pounds Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts Using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around Going up and down stairs (where applicable) Working at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable) Safety and Quality: Adhering to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards Using protective gear and following safety guidelines What It's Like to Work at an Amazon Fulfillment Center Safety: Your safety is our top priority. We provide protective gear and share safety tips daily to ensure a safe working environment. Surroundings: You'll be working around moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. Activity: Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs. Temperature: Even with climate controls, temperatures can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse; on hot days, temperatures can be over 90°F in the truck yard or inside trailers. Noise Level: It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it. Dress Code: Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required, and protective safety footwear is required in select business units.
