About MACS and Our Mission MACS provides 24/7 supported housing for young people aged between 16 and 21 who are leaving care. Our residents can live with us for up to 2 years before moving into the community. Position at a Glance: Compensation: Competitive salary of £11.64 per hour Position: Night Support Workers Location: Various locations across Northern Ireland, including Lisburn, Downpatrick, Newry, and Belfast (with remote work options available) Company: MACS (a leading provider of supported housing for young people) Start Date: Immediate openings available Key Responsibilities: As a Night Support Worker at MACS, you'll be responsible for: Providing an accessible point of contact for our residents at night and weekends Promoting the protection and safeguarding of young people living at MACS Supporting residents to build skills and confidence to maintain their own homes Working collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality support services Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or concerns Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: 6 months' experience (paid or voluntary) of supporting people in a caring role Full current driving license with access to a car Ability to work flexible hours, including waking night shifts Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Previous experience in a similar role or sector Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ, QCF, or degree) What We Offer: Benefits and Perks: Competitive salary of £11.64 per hour MACS Pension contribution of 4% of salary Up to 24 shifts annual leave Enhanced paid leave for Sick, Maternity, and Carers leave Paid training days per year Flexible and remote working options available Career Growth and Learning Opportunities: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement Access to training and development programs Supportive and collaborative team environment Chance to make a positive impact on the lives of young people Our Work Environment and Culture: At MACS, we're proud of our supportive and inclusive work environment.
