Metadata Librarian for Education Resources

We’re looking for an experienced Metadata Librarian for Education Resources to join our team at Stanford University. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as knowledge of library cataloging and metadata standards. If you’re detail-oriented, a problem solver and an avid learner, this could be the perfect job for you.You’ll be responsible for managing the metadata associated with our library’s collection of education resources, which includes books, videos, online resources, and other materials. To be successful in this role, you must have experience working in a library, a Master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited program, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of the principles of metadata creation and management, including familiarity with the MARC21 format. Knowledge of library semantic web standards such as RDF, SKOS, and OWL is a plus.The successful candidate will be a creative, self-motivated professional who is passionate about providing excellent library services.
