Marketing Director (OTE CAD $185,000/year), Sparkrock

As the Marketing Director, you will run marketing across the K-12 Education vertical in Canada and the Non-Profit and Human Services vertical across North America. You will be a key member of the sales and marketing team, as well as the extended executive team. You will play a vital role in our go-to-market strategies, managing a team comprised of customer marketing and demand generation professionals. The ideal candidate is data-driven, leads with insights, can set strategy, generate great ideas, and also roll up their sleeves to execute. Responsibilities • Define and execute go-to-market strategies across all core verticals, ensuring alignment with business objectives, sales priorities, and customer needs • Plan, prioritize, and manage the marketing calendar to balance demand generation, customer marketing, product launches, and brand initiatives • Lead and coach a high-performing marketing team, setting clear goals, expectations, and standards for quality and impact • Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Executive leadership to align messaging, campaigns, and revenue targets • Oversee the development of high-quality marketing assets and campaigns that are insight-driven, well-positioned, and measurable • Use data, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools to evaluate performance, optimize execution, and continuously improve outcomes • Create compelling value messaging and update assets from the website through collateral • Develop a deep understanding of the market, customers, and competitors • Build awareness and opportunity through multiple channels such as LinkedIn, agencies, paid ads, SEO, PR, content, etc Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field • 7+ years of experience in marketing, particularly B2B ERP growth marketing and demand generation • 3+ years of Non-profit and municipal government industry experience • 3+ years of proven track record of effectively interacting with executive teams and senior management • Strategic marketing leadership with the ability to define, communicate, and execute clear go-to-market strategies • Strong collaboration skills, particularly in partnership with Sales, Product, and executive stakeholders • Data-driven decision-making, with experience using analytics, dashboards, and AI-enabled marketing tools to optimize performance • Demand generation and customer marketing expertise across the full funnel • People leadership skills, including coaching, prioritization, and setting high standards for quality and accountability • Proficiency with modern B2B marketing technology stacks, including CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and attribution tools • Experience leveraging AI-powered marketing tools to improve targeting, personalization, content development, and performance optimization • Comfort evaluating, selecting, and scaling tools that support demand generation, customer marketing, and go-to-market execution • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and clearly articulate ideas across teams and leadership • Strong ownership mindset, demonstrating accountability for outcomes and follow-through • Comfort operating in ambiguity, balancing strategic thinking with practical decision-making • Curiosity and adaptability, including openness to feedback, learning, and new approaches such as AI-enabled marketing Nice to have • Experience in high-growth or scaling SaaS organizations • Familiarity with public sector, education, or non-profit buying cycles and procurement processes • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and enterprise sales motions • Background in change management or marketing transformation initiatives • Advanced certifications in analytics, growth marketing, or AI-enabled marketing platforms Benefits We don’t call them perks; they’re just part of what makes working at Sparkrock great. • We are 100% remote and global.
