They are seeking a Marketing Analytics Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making across marketing initiatives, focusing on complex analytical projects and providing strategic guidance to cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Independently design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments, including sample sizing, metric selection, and mitigation of statistical biases Customise and deploy sophisticated attribution models, forecasting solutions, and predictive models using multivariate regression, time-series analysis, optimisation methodologies, and other advanced techniques Serve as primary analytics partner for marketing teams, providing strategic guidance and leading discussions with third-party vendors on analytical methodologies Support international marketing efforts by fielding technical questions and adapting analytical approaches for different markets Develop advanced SQL queries and manage DBT models powering Looker dashboards for senior leadership Collaborate with dealer teams to design and analyze marketing surveys to gather customer insights and inform strategy Monitor vendor data ingestion pipelines for quality and consistency Create sophisticated visualizations and data-driven narratives tailored to technical and non-technical audiences Partner with analytics leadership to propose innovative quantitative methodologies for emerging business challenges Skills BA/BS in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field; 1-2 years of professional marketing analytics experience Advanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling Demonstrated experience independently designing and analyzing A/B tests with sophisticated experimental designs Solid understanding of statistics including probability theory, regression analysis, and common statistical pitfalls Experience building predictive models and forecasting solutions Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively Experience with data visualization tools and advanced visualization techniques Survey design and analysis experience Marketing attribution modeling experience Familiarity with LookML, DBT, Looker, and project management tools (Jira) Background in automotive, marketplace, or two-sided platform businesses Benefits Equity for all employees Career development and corporate giving programs Employee resource groups (ERGs) and communities Flexible hybrid model Robust time off policies Daily free lunch New car discount Meditation and fitness apps Commuting cost coverage Company Overview CarGurus is an online automotive destination that assists users in contacting sellers and comparing local listings for new and used cars.
