Managing Editor – Leverage & Derivatives Trading

Remote Full-time
Read this carefully before applying. Leverage.Trading is an independent education and research publisher focused on leverage, margin, futures, liquidation, and derivatives trading. We publish risk-first, neutral, mechanics-driven educational content that prepares traders for the real risks of leveraged trading. We are looking for a Managing Editor to fully own content quality and publishing. This role sits between strategy (founder) and operations (content ops lead). You will manage writers, edit content, and publish articles without day-to-day supervision. Why this role exists Leverage.Trading is expanding its educational coverage across liquidation mechanics, leverage risk, margin systems, futures structure, and derivatives behavior. This role exists to ensure that increased output never compromises accuracy, neutrality, or editorial integrity. Leverage.Trading is built as a long-term educational reference — not a news cycle, not a growth hack, not a content farm. We are building content meant to remain accurate and useful across multiple market cycles. This role is for editors who care deeply about getting complex, high-risk financial mechanics right. What you will do • Edit long-form educational articles on leverage, margin, futures, liquidation, funding rates, and derivatives • Ensure content is factually correct, neutral, and YMYL-safe • Rewrite sections when needed (this is not a “light edit” role) • Build, manage, and maintain a small bench of specialized writers • Source, vet, and onboard writers independently based on topic needs and editorial standards • Assign briefs, review drafts, and approve final versions • Publish articles directly in WordPress (formatting, structure, internal links) • Make final editorial decisions on routine publications without requiring founder approval You are trusted to slow publication when accuracy demands it. What you will NOT do • You will not run a newsroom or manage breaking-news output • You will not be responsible for audience growth, traffic targets, or distribution strategy • You will not write promotional, sponsored, or brand-led content • You will not optimize content for keywords, rankings, or conversion goals • You will not manage partnerships, outreach, or external placements This is an editorial role, not a marketing role. What success looks like After 3 months: • Writers deliver drafts that require less structural correction • Editorial standards are clearly enforced and documented • Publishing cadence is predictable, calm, and controlled After 6–12 months: • Leverage.Trading is recognized as a reliable reference for leverage and derivatives mechanics • Core educational pages are internally consistent and logically cross-referenced • Content quality does not degrade as output increases This role is NOT a fit if you: • Primarily identify as a writer, not an editor • Prefer growth marketing, SEO tricks, or content promotion • Are uncomfortable making editorial judgment calls independently • Do not understand how leverage and derivatives actually work This role IS a fit if you: • Have edited crypto, trading, or financial content before • Understand leverage, margin, futures, liquidation, and derivatives trading • Are comfortable pushing back on writers and rewriting unclear or incorrect sections • Are comfortable saying “this is wrong — rewrite it” • Value accuracy, structure, and durability over speed and volume • Enjoy turning complex, high-risk financial mechanisms into clear reference material • Want long-term editorial ownership, not one-off gigs Applications without editing experience in trading or financial content will not be considered.
