Job Summary Published on : Oct 16, 2025 Employment Status : Full Time Experience : 3 - <5 Years Workplace : Remote - must reside within 6 hours of Pensacola Salary : - $126,000 (low) – $149,000 (midpoint) Job Description: • This is a leadership position with direct responsibility for team development, technical strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. • Lead and mentor a team of 4–6 data/BI analysts, system administrators, and SMEs2025 ITJD – Manager Data Engineering and Analytics[100]. • Balance hands-on design/development with team management. • Define team priorities and allocate resources in partnership with IT and business leaders. • Design, build, and maintain robust ELT pipelines (preferably in Azure) to ingest and normalize data from 5–10 core systems. • Develop and manage DBT models, transformation logic, and semantic layers for analytics and reporting. • Build Sisense data models (Elasticubes or Live Models) and collaborate with BI developers. • Ensure data quality, observability, and freshness through monitoring and testing frameworks. • Translate business processes into scalable data models. • Maintain data documentation and support data governance. (Security, privacy, retention) • Establish and enforce standards for coding, documentation, and governance. Qualifications and Requirements: • 1–3 years leading a small technical/analytics team. • 3–5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering. • Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with ETL/ELT pipelines. • Familiarity with modern ELT tools (DBT, Fivetran, Airflow) and cloud data lake architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP). • Deep understanding of dimensional modeling and data normalization. • Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Prioritize Skills over education. Preferred Qualifications • Experience as a “player-coach” (hands-on engineering + team leadership). • Sisense experience (Elasticubes, Live Models, dashboard support). • HR, payroll, or staffing data experience (PrismHR, Bullhorn, Kronos, etc.). • Sisense embedding and API integrations. • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA). • Experience with version control, CI/CD for data, and agile development.
