Position at a Glance: Position: Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift, $34/hr Location: Remote Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for growth Company: Workwarp Start Date: Immediate openings available Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Maintenance Technician with Workwarp, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful as a Maintenance Technician with Workwarp, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED, with above-average mechanical ability Technical Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics Troubleshooting: Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose all electrical problems Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Independence: Ability to work independently, exhibit the ability to solve problems without assistance Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience: Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related field Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as electrical or mechanical certifications What We Offer: At Workwarp, we are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment that allows our team members to thrive.
