Job Summary As a Maintenance and Operations Laborer at Cargill, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal operation of our facilities. This includes troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and making repairs as needed. You will work closely with our maintenance team to identify and address equipment problems, and you will be expected to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on industrial equipment and facilities Troubleshoot equipment issues and make repairs as needed Conduct routine inspections and monitoring of equipment and facilities Assist with maintenance projects and repairs, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work Work collaboratively with maintenance team members to identify and address equipment problems Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements and qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, and climbing Basic computer skills Ability to work in varied conditions, including heat, cold, and confined spaces Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in maintenance or a related field Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems Certifications or training in a maintenance-related field (e.g. OSHA, electrical, mechanical) Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Cargill, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
