Manage and maintain collections, including selection, acquisition, and weeding of materials. Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons, including assistance with reference and research inquiries. Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to promote library services and engage with the local community. Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in library and information science to enhance library services. Participate in professional development activities to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Assist with the training and supervision of library staff and volunteers. Ensure the library is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve library operations. Advocate for literacy and promote a love of reading within the community. Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance library services and accessibility. Collaborate with other departments and city officials to support the overall mission and goals of the City of San Diego. Maintain accurate records and statistics to track and report on library usage and trends. Stay informed about and comply with all library policies, procedures, and regulations.
