Lead Consultant – Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants
Job Description: • Provide functional expertise on projects and initiatives involving Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants modules, as well as their integration with other internal modules and external applications; • Identify gaps and present solution options to business based on functionality in Oracle Financials product and best practices; • Ensure that all capabilities delivered align with original business objectives, application service levels, IT strategies, and design intent; • Work with the client’s Finance and Accounting functions to capture and map business requirements to Oracle Cloud functionality; • Identify gaps and advise clients on options, risks, and value propositions; • Be accountable for the generation and accuracy of the requirements traceability matrix as well as the Oracle Cloud configuration; • Configure Oracle Cloud as part of the implementation, and ensure that it meets the solution design and aligns with Oracle Cloud implementation recommended best practices; • Be accountable for the solution design, configuration, and implementation, as well as ensuring the implementation is consistent with such design; • Monitor the solution design, configuration and implementation against project scope, and escalate issues through appropriate channels when needed; • Organize and facilitate functional design sessions with business users from multiple geographical regions and functional areas; • Integrate requirements from multiple design sessions and teams into Oracle Cloud system design; • Develop use and test cases to test the implementation of Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants modules, and participate in the execution of such test cases; • Provide support to testing teams and end users during the various test cycles, and remediate and/or dispose of test case failures or anomalies; • Align departmental policies and procedures with the Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants system implementation solution; • Support project execution methodology, report on project progress, and identify and manage issues to closure. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or higher; • Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants implementation; • Demonstrable experience in participating in Oracle Cloud implementations as a Functional Consultant, with at least 5 implementations with Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants configuration responsibilities; • Experience in facilitating and conducting Business Process Workshops, Proof of Concept Sessions, Conference Room Pilots, System Integrated Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT); • Experience gathering requirements, designing, and implementing Projects and Grants; • Experience working with an ERP to mature financial processes and reporting; • Experience leading small teams (2 to 4 people), as well as design sessions; • Experience creating a testing strategy and approach; • Experience supporting pre-sales efforts; • Testing and training experience, specifically helping the finance and accounting functions adopt the newly defined procedures; • Demonstrable ability to track and manage the scope of modules against the statement of work and address and/or appropriately escalate issues, as necessary; • Demonstrable ability to manage client expectations, including requirements which do not align to system functionality or best practices; • Ability to communicate the impact and risk of deviations and escalate issues when necessary; • Expert knowledge in financial system integration and overall ERP development, testing and support; • Functional knowledge of other Oracle Cloud modules (GL, AP, AR, CM, EXP, LA, FA, Payroll); • Thorough understanding of operational financial controls and accounting processes as well as deep functional knowledge of the Oracle Cloud Projects and Grants modules; • Familiarity with the following edge systems: Oracle Primavera, Procore, Viewpoint Vista; • Familiarity with project management methodologies and Microsoft Project; • Superior communication skills: written, spoken and presentation, with the ability to communicate and interact with senior and executive-level management and influence outcomes.
